Costume Designer Dan Lester began his career managing a boutique at Fred Segal in Hollywood, California. While there he met a number of film industry artists and was encouraged to join their ranks. Lester took a job at Western Costume Company and helped to prepare many films and TV productions. After leaving Western, he worked in both mediums with highly respected designers like Grady Hunt, Theodora Van Runkle, Marianne Elliot and Moss Mabry. Eventually, Lester met and worked with Marilyn Vance on a string of very successful films including The Untouchables, Pretty Woman, Uncle Buck and The Rocketeer.
